Comes with an RNA transcript from part of the HIV-1 genome quantified at 250,000 copies/µL. Has a linear range (analytical measurement) from 2,000,000 to 20 copies in a 20 µL reaction. This kit is designed for research use only and not for use in diagnostic procedures. Norgen's HIV Quantitative TaqMan RT-PCR Detection Kit is a turnkey solution which includes 2X One-Step RT-PCR master mix, HIV specific primer/probe mix, Nuclease-Free Water, and Quantified HIV positive control. Norgen's HIV specific primer and probe mix is designed to detect a 123 nt region of the HIV-1 genome using a TaqMan based assay utilizing the FAM fluorophore. Norgen's HIV positive control contains an RNA transcript from part of the HIV-1 genome at 250,000 copies/µL quantified by ddPCR to construct a dilution series for HIV RNA quantification.
