R-Phycoerythrin

OZ Biosciences style="color:blue"R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) is a naturally fluorescent protein from algae and is composed of a 240KD protein covalently linked to a number of fluorophores called phycobilins. Its exceptional fluorescence characteristics make it a perfect positive control for intracellular protein delivery using OZ Biosciences Pro-DeliverIN reagent. R-phycoerythrin is provided at a 100μg/mL concentration in DPBS pH 7.4.

IgG-FITC

OZ Biosciences immunoglobulin (IgG) from goat serum has been labelled with the fluorescein isothiocyanate dye to produce a green-emitting antibody with a high fluorophore-to-protein ratio. The resulting antibody can be used as a positive control for intracellular antibody delivery with OZ Biosciences’ Ab-DeliverIN reagent.

Plasmids-pVectOZ

pVectOZ Transfection Plasmids are engineered with an optimised backbone and are ideal for all transfections. OZ Biosciences proposes five expression vectors encoding for the most popular reporter genes (CAT, GFP, LacZ, Luciferase, and SEAP).

pVectOZ-encoding genes:

  • Chloramphenicol Acetyltransferase (CAT)—pVectOZ-CAT
  • Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP)—pVectOZ-GFP
  • beta-galactosidase (Lac Z)—pVectOZ-LACZ
  • Luciferase (Luc): pVectOZ-LUC
  • Secreted Alcaline Phosphatase (SEAP)—pVectOZ-SEAP

The transgene expression level depends mainly on the promoter, enhancer, terminator, and plasmid backbone. The pVectOZ expression cassette was designed to express transgene products in many mammalian cells and tissues. This vector has been modified to eliminate sequences affecting transgene expression levels while optimising those critical for high levels of expression. The final expression cassette accommodates the high levels of transgene expression in mammalian cells as well as the high yield of plasmid production in Escherichia coli. The resulting plasmid is the ideal vector for expression in vitro and in vivo.

pVectOZ Features:

  • Highest levels of transgene expression in mammalian cells and tissues

Senescence Kit

Senescence Kit is ideal when cells in culture show abnormalities typical of the Hayflick limit, after a long period of normal growth. The cells vary in size and shape, and the cytoplasm begins to be granular with many cell inclusions and debris formed in the medium. Senescence goes with a decrease in proliferation potential, telomere shortening, and impairment of cell function (i.e., a decrease in the differentiation potential of stem cells). During senescence in mammalian cells, an endogenous lysosomal b-galactosidase is overexpressed and is accumulated within the ageing cells. The presence of this b-gal activity is a marker of an ageing cell population in vitro.

RmesFect™ Stem Transfection Reagent is based on TEE technology and specifically designed for mRNA transfection in stem cells with high efficiency and low toxicity. mRNA transfection provides several advantages over plasmid DNA delivery:
